Obsolete & Hard-to-Find Materials - SP&S offers Free Support to Find & Qualify Alternatives

One of the biggest challenges facing engineers and purchasing agents is the rapid changes occurring in industry.  Long time suppliers are sold or re-organized and the result is negative changes to established materials.  These changes can range from obsoletion to dramatic price increases, increased lead-times, or unacceptable minimum order quantities.  

In response to this phenomenon, SP&S offers our customers purchasing programs and technical support to identify or develop alternate sources for hard-to-find or discontinued products.

As part of these programs, we maintain a database of more than 40,000 adhesives, coatings, sealants, encapsulants, tooling boards and other polymeric materials for rapid identification of potential alternates.  In addition, we have established contractual relationships with several major manufacturers that in some cases allow us to license and produce their obsolete products based on the actual formulations, raw materials, and manufacturing processes used by the original manufacturers.
